meaning ‘energy creation’ house
Soene House (meaning ‘energy creation’ house) is a model home designed to implement the concepts of the Eneos Soene Project, an initiative exploring home-based energy generation. (Eneos is the brand name used for products sold by Nippon Oil, Japan’s largest oil company.) Designed to help reduce CO2 emissions, the home is a study in how to effectively combine energy from natural sources with fossil fuel energy, and how to optimize energy use. Soene House uses Shirasukabe plaster material in its interior.
Interior: BC-50, soft hairline finish
Today’s rising concern for the environment is resulting in a wide range of corporate R&D projects designed to create eco-friendly housing that helps reduce CO2 emissions through superior energy-saving properties. Shirasukabe has been used in some of the experimental housing created by these energy-saving projects.
