NADAMAN Japanese Restaurant(No Images)
The interior walls of this Japanese Restaurant use shirasu-based material
Expo 2005 was a world fair held for 185 days in Japan’s Aichi prefecture in 2005.
The event’s organizers selected a high-end restaurant chain called Nadaman to represent traditional Japanese cuisine at the fair.
The Nadaman outlet created for the fair featured interior walls plastered with Takachiho’s Shirasu-kabe plaster material.
Since Shirasu-kabe is an all-natural construction material with low environmental impact, it helped make the restaurant an environmentally friendly space. The many visitors who enjoyed the restaurant’s cuisine and interior ambiance while the fair was being held included several world leaders and members of the imperial family.
